Summary (*Note from Previous Episode: May returns back to meet Ash and friends and to participate in the Wallace Cup) Ash and friends are ready to continue their Pokemon contest the next day. While walking outside at night, Ash encounters a mysterious Pokemon while with Pikachu at the lake. The lake is Lake Valor and the Pokemon that Ash saw was Azelf (though they didn't figure that out). Ash returns and tells his friends about his encounter with this mysterious Pokemon. Dawn then recalls when she encountered a mysterious Pokemon too at the start of her journey in Lake Verity. The Pokemon Dawn saw was a Mesprit. May then remembers that when she went to Snowpoint City, she heard stories about a legendary Pokemon living there. That Pokemon is Uxie. Perhaps May did encounter the Pokemon. It is then revealed to us that Zoey is from Snowpoint City. The next day, Dawn wins her battle using Buneary. However, Ash loses the second battle.
