Improving Colors Tutorial

Let's just get past that "Did you ever want to.." part ^-^ hehe, its always like that!
In this tutorial, you will learn how to improve the colors of a picture, such as a scan. When scanning a picture, the colors can seem dull, but you can improve it using Photoshop =] I will be using Photoshop CS for this tutorial

First of all, open the image you want to improve in Photoshop. I will be using this one for this tutorial:



Notice how the colors aren't very clear? We will improve that in this tutorial!

Duplicating the Layer and Blurring it

Now, go Layer --> Duplicate layer and click yes. You should get another layer. Here is an image:



After duplicating the layer, go filter --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur



set it to 3.7. Like this:



Now, on the second layer, click overlay like this:



Cool, right? Yay!
